Onda Travertine Pendant Light oval stone frame, exposed G9 capsule, matte black cord.

A vertical oval carved from yellow travertine its form an open loop, rounded at the top and bottom, smooth on the outer edge and raw-textured on the surface suspends a G9 capsule bulb at its centre. The travertine frame encircles the light source completely, the stone becoming a glowing surround rather than a shade. The porous surface catches and scatters light inward; the open form allows it to radiate outward in all directions. The Onda is simultaneously an object and a lamp a loop of geological time holding a point of light.

Yellow Travertine formed by nature, unrepeatable by craft

Each Onda frame is carved from yellow travertine a sedimentary limestone formed over millennia through mineral-rich spring deposits. The porous cavities, fossil inclusions, amber veins, and surface colour are determined entirely by geological conditions and differ between every piece. This is inherent to natural stone and is not a defect.

Bulb & Light Source

G9 bulb not included

Compatible with G9 LED capsule and G9 halogen capsule bulbs. A warm-white G9 LED at 27003000 K at ~5W is recommended the warm amber tone illuminates the travertine oval from within, accentuating the pore texture and veining of the stone. A frosted G9 capsule LED is preferred over a clear capsule to soften the direct brightness of the exposed bulb within the stone frame.

Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I order multiple Onda pendants as a cluster?

Yes the Onda works beautifully as a multi-pendant cluster. Two or three stone ovals at different drop heights above a dining table or kitchen island create a sculptural composition where each pendant's unique travertine character reads clearly at eye level. We offer custom multi-head configurations including the head count, shared canopy size, and individual cable drop heights. Contact us before ordering to discuss your layout.

The travertine frame has visible pores and speckles. Is this normal?

Yes this is the natural character of yellow travertine. The pores, speckles, amber veins, and tonal variations are inherent to the material. When the lamp is lit, the G9 capsule illuminates the stone from within, and the natural pores may subtly glow or catch the light in a way unique to each specific piece. This is a quality of genuine travertine and is not a defect.

Should I use a frosted or clear G9 bulb?

A frosted G9 capsule LED is recommended. Because the bulb sits exposed within the open stone frame rather than behind a shade, a clear G9 can produce uncomfortable direct glare when viewed at eye level. A frosted capsule diffuses the light source into a soft, even glow that fills the stone frame without glare. Warm frosted G9 LEDs at 27003000K in the 35W range are widely available.
